Krokbragd with Jennie Hawkey
Weave a Krokragd sample in a variety of colored yarns. It is a simple technique with beautiful results. Krokbragd weave is a weft-faced boundweave that originated in Scandinavia. Requiring only 3 shafts, Krokbragd can be woven on multishaft looms.
In this class you will learn how to set up and weave Krokbragd patterns provided by the instructor, then learn how to design and weave you own patterns.
This class is suitable for all levels of weaving students that know how to read a draft and dress a loom. Students will come to class with a [re-warped loom ( can arrange to use a YVFC loom)
Weft materials, handout, lunch each day and instruction are included in the course fee.
Students should bring:
graph paper
pens, pencils, colored pencils
scissors
tapestry needle
shuttles, bobbins ,and any other item they like to use while in their studio,
