Rag rugs have a charm that no other rug brings to the floor, and in this 2 1/2 day course we will look at their history, the history of rags, and explore multiple patterns found in old loom manuals. Students will come to the course with their loom warped. in addition to weaving on your own loom, there will be two shared looms with patterns for you to weave more samples. Students should be familiar with hemstitching and will be expected to rethread their loom in class, leaving the course with eight pattern samples. Material list and threading instructions will be sent out after registration.

Handouts and lunch are included in the course fee of $300. If you would like to use one of our looms and have it warped and ready their is an additional fee of $25 .(please mention in comments when registrering)
